Perry Awards
SKIT is a member of the New Jersey Association of Community Theatres (NJ ACT). NJ ACT reviews community theatres throughout the state of New Jersey and nominates select productions for their excellence in a variety of categories. The talent throughout NJ is excellent and SKIT is honored to be selected for recognition throughout the years, including 16 nominations for Outstanding Production of a Musical.
In 2001, SKIT was recognized as Community Theatre of the Year.
SKIT has two of its members enshrined in the NJ ACT Hall of Fame: Carolyn Newman and Maria Mantak.
